Industry Use

Fort Worth’s identity is rooted in both industry and agriculture, and our containers serve both with versatile, durable storage.

Contractors in Mansfield, Arlington, and Burleson rely on shipping containers to secure equipment and building materials on fast-growing job sites, while ranchers in Parker and Johnson counties use them for feed, tack, and machinery storage. Unlike traditional barns or sheds, shipping containers are built to withstand weather, pests, and heavy use — making them ideal for ranching operations.

Local manufacturers and logistics firms also benefit from containers, using them as overflow warehouse space or temporary storage near industrial facilities. Even Fort Worth homeowners use them for remodeling projects, seasonal storage, or converting them into workshops.

With Fort Worth’s blend of urban expansion, suburban growth, and rural farmland, shipping containers provide flexible storage that works across every setting. We offer 20ft, 40ft, and 40ft high cube units in multiple conditions (WWT, CW, or One-Trip), ensuring the right fit for every budget and project.

FAqS

We’ve answered the most common questions about buying and receiving shipping containers from Used Conex. From site prep to delivery timing, you’ll find everything you need to know here.

Do you deliver across Tarrant County?

Yes — we deliver to Fort Worth, Arlington, Mansfield, Weatherford, and surrounding areas.

Are the containers secure against Texas weather?

Absolutely. All units are wind and watertight, ideal for hot summers and heavy storms.

Do you cover rural areas west of Fort Worth?

Yes — we serve farms, ranches, and rural properties as far out as Wichita Falls.

Do I need a permit for container placement in Fort Worth?

Short-term storage on private property often doesn’t require one, but check with local ordinances.

Am I able to pick a color?

Most customers want to choose their container color, and sometimes this is possible, but not always. You get the first container off of the stack at the intermodal depot. If you order multiple containers, it is often possible to get the color of your choice. Also, one trip containers are generally tan or beige.

Can I see the container before purchasing?

Unfortunately, customers don’t have access to the depots for liability reasons. All the containers are inspected before delivery, and we always recommend our customers to check the container at delivery. If you want to pick up your container, you will be given a release number and the depot information.

What’s the origin of shipping containers?

Containers come from different parts of the world, carrying items such as food, clothes, etc. Most containers coming into the United States are shipped from China, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany and the UK.
